We run an After School Club which meets every Monday during term-time from 3.30 pm – 6.30 pm.
This club follows a simple formula of after school activities, socialising and tea.

Saturday Club takes place once a month from 10 am – 4 pm and places are limited to 15. Some sessions take place on the school premises when we might have a workshop by a visiting artist, storyteller or circus performer. We also take advantage of the school facilities and run swimming sessions and trampolining.

We also organise regular day trips. In recent months these have included outings to the National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth and the Miniature Pony Centre on Dartmoor.

The Summer Holiday Playscheme is the Hollow Lane Club’s most ambitious project and runs for 12 days during August. 2006 saw on average 55 children attend each day.

The focus of the younger childrens’ activities was creative arts and physical play. This included junk modelling, papier mache, swimming, dance, music and movement.

The focus of the senior group was on outdoor pursuits and environmental play and involved bell boating, swimming, gardening and nature time, use of the bikes and outdoor games.

All groups had access to the minibuses and regular day trips were organised to local attractions and beaches.

We are also piloting Festive and Easter Clubs during the two other main school holidays.
